Some interesting details from the hotel history: Mr. Erpenback from Bavaria took on the challenge to build this hotel in Klosters region. Thomas Noll was offered to manage this hotel for the winter season as well as another hotel owned by Mr. Erpenback during the summer period on the Island of Ibiza. It was 20 years ago…but as destiny was, Thomas Noll’s company took him than to Egypt to open a large hotel.
Nowadays Mr. Erpenbeck’s children, Ulrike and Christian, are running the hotel successfully with a personal touch that one feels as a customer.
“I always liked this hotel: lot’s of wood, lot’s of cozy alpine and mountain feeling. Very homely and welcoming atmosphere. Great food, whether the offering on the buffet or in the a la carte. Many rooms have good views and many have balconies to step out. The spa has a decent size pool, 3 Sauna’s, a gym and a beauty center. What’s important is that there is a convenient ski storage and a garage on the hotel territory. You can rent ski just opposite of the hotel or what I do, rent them right by the main ski lift station that takes you in a big Gondola to the top of the mountain with one of the best ski arena’s I know. When you rent the ski by the Gondola, rent a ski parking place there and a box for your booths. That is the best way to enjoy skiing in Klosters!
I like Christmas, because Christian – the General Manager who is also the Deputy President of Klosters Tourism – hosts a Gluehwein cocktail in the forest near the hotel every 24th of December with a live performance, generating that unique Christmas eve feeling which reminds of childhood…
